About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Board of Directors. As a key member of the Board, the CFO will provide strategic financial leadership, oversight, and guidance to ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability. This position is crucial in supporting AISC's mission of promoting social change through the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Oversight: Provide leadership and oversight of the organization's financial affairs, including budgeting, financial reporting, and asset management.

- Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with AISC's mission and strategic goals, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.

- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.

- Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare financial forecasts, monitor financial performance, and provide regular financial updates to the Board.

- Audit and Compliance: Oversee annual audit processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Investment Management: Manage organizational investments and reserves in accordance with Board-approved policies.

- Board Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Board members and senior leadership to develop and execute organizational strategies and initiatives.


Qualifications:

- Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or related fields, with at least 7 years of senior-level experience.

- Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

- Experience with nonprofit financial management and governance preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

- Commitment to the mission and values of AISC, including a passion for arts, culture, and social change.
