About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice-President to join our Board of Directors. The Vice-President will play a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership, guidance, and support to advance AISC's mission and goals!
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Board Leadership: Collaborate with the President, Board Chair, and fellow Board members to set and implement strategic goals and objectives for AISC.
- Governance: Ensure adherence to governance policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards, promoting transparency and accountability.
- Committee Leadership: Chair or participate actively in Board committees, contributing expertise and oversight in areas such as finance, development, or governance.
- Community Engagement: Represent AISC in the community, cultivating relationships with stakeholders, partners, donors, and supporters.
- Advocacy: Advocate for AISC's mission, programs, and initiatives to external stakeholders and the broader community.
- Fundraising: Support fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant applications, and special events.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in nonprofit organizations, with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit governance, strategic planning, and financial oversight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
- Passion for the arts, social justice, and community development.
