About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Compliance Advisor to join our Advisory Board. The Compliance Advisor will provide guidance and oversight to ensure AISC's adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

- Compliance Oversight: Monitor and assess AISC's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Policy Development: Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risk and promote ethical conduct.
- Training and Education: Provide guidance on compliance training programs for staff, Board members, and volunteers.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance issues and develop corrective action plans.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports and updates on compliance activities and initiatives for the Board of Directors and senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related fields, with expertise in nonprofit compliance preferred.
- Knowledge of nonprofit governance, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to AISC's mission and values, including a passion for arts, culture, and social justice.
