About the Role
POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Vice-Chairman of Education to support our educational initiatives and programs. Reporting to the Chairman of Education, the Vice-Chairman will collaborate closely in shaping our educational strategy, curriculum development, and community engagement efforts. This role requires an individual with a strong commitment to education and social change, who can provide leadership and innovation in advancing our mission.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
-Â Educational Strategy: Assist in developing and executing strategic plans for arts education programs in alignment with organizational goals.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of inclusive and engaging arts education curricula that foster creativity and critical thinking.
- Community Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and cultural institutions to expand access to arts education and promote social impact initiatives.
- Program Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of educational programs, ensuring high-quality delivery and effective resource allocation.
- Faculty Support: Support the recruitment, professional development, and evaluation of educators committed to excellence in arts education and social justice.
- Evaluation and Reporting: Assist in monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness, utilizing data to inform continuous improvement and impact assessment.
- Advocacy and Outreach: Collaborate with the Chairman of Education in advocating for arts education and social change initiatives, representing the organization in public forums and stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education, Arts Administration, or a related field. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in arts education, nonprofit management, or related fields, with a focus on curriculum development and program management.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build partnerships.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in arts education and community engagement.
